Spring Haven Stables creates a positive learning environment for riders of all levels. We take advantage of a student’s natural love of horses, to inspire and promote instruction with an emphasis on safety first. The foundation of our horse and rider lesson program is horsemanship. This is essential for advancing any riding discipline. Our Instruction emphasizes proper equitation, leg, and seat position, and the effective partnership between horse and rider.
We aim to help each student achieve his or her maximum potential by using the student’s strongest asset – his or her own will. Our trainers create a customized lesson program for each new student, based on his or her level of riding skills and unique needs. From goal setting and tracking, our lessons encourage discipline, poise, confidence, responsibility, and respect of our equine partners.
You do not need to own your own horse in order to enjoy riding. We have schooling horses available and can provide you with a horse suited to your experience level. However, we require that you bring boots, or paddock shoes, and a helmet for your safety.
We offer a comprehensive lesson program based on level of riding skills, age and interests.
Nelly Cooper and Deanna Preis are our professional instructors, and we occasionally welcome other professionals to host special clinics.
